Inside the Free Tier

Here's what you actually do with it.

What you'll use in your first week, and every week after.

When you're planning a new video

The KANDO Method tells you what to film.

Most creators film what feels right and hope. The KANDO Method is a 3-page worksheet you walk every video idea through. Five questions: Knowledge, Audience, New(s), Data, Optimization. Fill it out, upload it to ChatGPT or Claude with the built-in prompt, and the AI gives you titles, thumbnails, hooks, and a full description back in your voice.

When you've got a thumbnail to test

The Discord tells you if it'll work.

Most creators publish and find out at midnight when the CTR tanks. Post your thumbnail in the #feedback channel and working YouTubers tell you what's hitting and what's missing before you hit upload. Ike Do built the room and runs it. 2,500+ working YouTubers inside.

Free tier also gets you the Kan Do Newsletter, Tuesdays and Fridays in your inbox. A monthly Live AMA inside the KDCC member area. The Channel Setup Guide the day you join: channel art, end screens, monetization, playlists. The KDCC Blog for the long reads. And every month, a Top Contributor giveaway for whoever's been helping the most in Discord.

Free Tier · FAQ

Free Tier, no catch

Honest answers to what people ask before joining the Free Tier of The Kan Do Creators Community. Written by Andrew Kan, Ike Do, and the KDCC team.

Is the Free Tier of The KDCC really free?

Yes. The Free Tier of The Kan Do Creators Community is free forever, with no credit card and no trial period. You get the KDCC Discord with 2,500+ YouTube creators, the KANDO Method growth framework, the KANDO Method Worksheet, the Channel Setup Guide, the weekly Kan Do Newsletter from Andrew Kan, the monthly free AMA, the Top Contributor giveaway, and the KDCC Blog at no cost. Paid tiers exist if live group coaching becomes useful for you, but you are never required to upgrade.

What is the catch with the Free Tier?

There is no catch. Andrew Kan and Ike Do built the Free Tier as the actual product, not a sales funnel. Most YouTube creators already pay for tools they do not use. If we can put real growth resources in front of you for free, we would rather have you join, see if it helps, and decide later whether group coaching is worth $19.99 a month. The free tier is the same product paying members get access to, with the paid tiers adding live group coaching and member-only feedback channels on top.

Do I need a credit card to join the Free Tier?

No. The Free Tier signup form does not ask for a credit card. You will not be charged a card you never saved. If you choose to upgrade later, the Knowledge tier is $19.99 per month and the Authority tier is $49.99 per month, both billed on a card you choose at upgrade time. No automatic charges, no surprise renewal of a tier you did not pick.

Will The KDCC spam me with upgrade emails if I join free?

No drip campaigns pushing you to upgrade. Joining the Free Tier signs you up for the weekly Kan Do Newsletter from Andrew Kan on what is moving on YouTube this week and what to ignore. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of any email and keep your free KDCC Discord access and KDCC member account. The Kan Do Newsletter is the strategy newsletter, not a sales tool.

Can I stay on the Free Tier of The KDCC forever?

Yes. There is no clock on the Free Tier. You can stay free for as long as you want and keep using the KDCC Discord, the KANDO Method framework and worksheet, the Channel Setup Guide, the weekly Kan Do Newsletter, the monthly free AMA with Andrew Kan and Ike Do, the Top Contributor giveaway, and the KDCC Blog without paying anything. The Free Tier is part of the community, not a trial.

What is the difference between the Free Tier and the paid KDCC tiers?

The Free Tier is the open community. The paid Knowledge and Authority tiers add live group coaching and member-only feedback channels on top. The Free Tier includes the KDCC Discord, the KANDO Method framework and worksheet, Channel Setup Guide, weekly newsletter, monthly free AMA, Top Contributor giveaway, and the KDCC Blog. The Knowledge tier at $19.99 per month adds 2 group coaching calls per month with Andrew Kan, Ike Do, and the KDCC team, member-only Discord channels with guaranteed feedback on thumbnails and titles, monthly SEO and channel reviews, and the KDCC Growth Template Vault. The Authority tier at $49.99 per month adds 4 calls per month including Authority-only sessions, priority Discord access, and quarterly live workshops. If you want feedback and group coaching, start with Knowledge. If you want more calls and advanced strategy, Authority is built for serious creators.

Is the Free Tier only for experienced YouTubers?

No. The Free Tier is built for creators starting from zero, returning after a break, or rebuilding a channel that has stalled. The Channel Setup Guide covers launch fundamentals. The KANDO Method works for small channels because it is a planning framework, not a paid promotion tactic. The free KDCC Discord is full of creators at every stage answering questions for each other. Many KDCC members joined the free tier before they uploaded their first video and used it to plan a foundation that actually grows.

Does Andrew Kan offer 1:1 YouTube consulting outside the KDCC?

Yes. Andrew Kan offers private 1:1 YouTube consulting separate from KDCC membership. Strategy Sessions start at $199.99 for 90 minutes with Andrew directly. Channel Audits at $997.99 and Monthly Advisory at $2,499.99 per month are available for brands and creator teams. 1:1 consulting is for creators and companies who want Andrew's strategy work applied to their specific channel or team. See kdcc.social/pages/consulting for current services and to book.

Who built The KDCC and why should I trust them?

Andrew Kan and Ike Do built The KDCC. Andrew Kan was the first full-time hire at TubeBuddy and grew the TubeBuddy YouTube channel from 6,000 to over 530,000 subscribers, earning TubeBuddy's YouTube Play Button and helping earn 11 more across channels including StreamYard for 12 total Play Buttons. He was YouTube & Video Manager for Salesforce Global Recruitment Marketing, and during his time at TubeBuddy contributed to YouTube strategy work for Fox Sports, BBC, Paramount, and Family Feud, and built the KANDO Method out of what kept working across that work. Ike Do grew TubeBuddy's Discord to 15,000+ creators and co-managed the TubeBuddy community forums reaching 100,000+ members. The KDCC is what they built when they decided to put what worked into one room, free.
